I'm sorry I wasn't clearer.

Not any engine belt, those would not have anything to do with a moving only thumping that sounds like a tire.

There are belts in steel belted tires. Which is 99% most likely the tire you have since they are considered a standard these days. (Old tire aka Bias ply had nylon cord instead of steel belts)

I think after you check your lug nuts (so Greg doesn't get more upset, looks like he'* got experience with loose nuts...lol) then... take it to a tire shop and ask them to check balance and for a possible broken belt in one of the tires.

Default belt

Agreed, after you check the lugs, examine tire for unusual bulges on the side indicating a bad belt. You could even put it on the rear and spin it to check if its egg shaped.

Sounds like you isolated it to your tire, what with swapping tires. The other thing I would have suggested is *wheel bearing*. It can have different effects when it'* going, on mine it made kind of a "whump whump whump whump" sound in long, gradual curves to the right, like on an interstate on or off ramp. Note that it changed speed with changes in the car speed, not with engine revs. Our cars don't have replaceable bearings, you have to change out the wheel spindle. Keep this in your info kit in case the tires don't solve the problem.
