Im pretty sure we installed them right. Im not sure if the bolts were over tightened b/c we didnt have a torque wrench. Heres a detail I left out. Right after I got it back together I took it for a ride. Probably a mile down the road it did the smoking thing again but never got hot. I kept driving and it stop smoking and ran normal again. Probably about 5 more miles down the road it when it really starting acting up and smoking and getting hot. I was easy on it at first but I did get on it alittle. I didnt replace the O-rings b/c I pulled it off as one piece. Oh yeah one more thing, its WHITE.

Again, compression test. TB and SC outlet gaskets are also a possibility from what I am reading.

I understand the outlet gasket but im alittle confused on how the TB gasket would cause this. That would be great if that all it was.

There is a coolant path that runs into the TB. If it'* bad, it could spill coolant into the intake tract.

It'* just a speculation at this point though. I'd really like a compression test to rule in/out the head gaskets.

Ok, I will try and get some compression checks done. Its best to pull all six at the same time right. I really miss the white one. It seems faster than the 94 ssei. Any thing alse to look at while im there.

I don't know the proper procedure for a compression test, I've never done one myself.

Can't think of anything else at the moment.

i've only done compression tests twice, and they weren't on bonnevilles...but the procedure was to pull them one at a time, and disconnect the distributor/coil pack so the car doesn't fire, but still turns over...that way it'* not as hard to mix up the firing order when reconnecting the spark plug wires....but pulling them all at once should work

Is it a good idea to unhook the injectors as well?

yeah i suppose, cuz then you'd just be pumping fuel right through your engine and into your cat, which isn't good, i suppose, but if you're only cranking for a few seconds it shouldn't cause any damage...i think..i'll look into that....
