well my car is finally done, i got the engine rebuilt for a whopping 2800 bills, includes new upperintake, water and oil pump, plugs, hoses, new pistons, crank, cam, blah blah. my car is set for another 90,000 miles w/ the new tranny engine ac and various other things that went. it kinda sux though cause i gotta drive like a grandma for the next 2,000 miles to let everything set but it will be worth it. Yeah the parents hooked it up fat with a nice intrest free loan and i should be paid off by the fall and then insurance comes along... pshhhh. can't win really. The important thing is i got my car back! wooo hooo! :P i put like 80 granny miles on it today lol it runs real smooth too
since i can't do any serious modding i'll probably get some of that heat insulating stuff from jegs and shield my whole intake and hose to get a couple ponies and i took everything out of my trunk, my crappy amp and 10", and all the mats that had to be at least a hundred pounds but man, as soon as i can make money just apear i'm getting my heads ported(probably in like 8 months or so)
yeah so i thought i would keep you folks updated and let you know i'm back in my almost new bonnie.

Did they replace the cam in the engine or the crank??? Usually the cam will last the life of the car, all 3800'* came from the factory with roller lifters, and roller cam... Usually they hardly wear... But the crank can be destroyed if the bearing is spun and knocking.. Too abd you don't have a lot of pics, it would be interesting for sure.... Best wishes for the new engine... I'll bet after break in, it'll run like hell..
thanks man, yeah they replaced the crank, cam, and roller lifters. they showed me all the old stuff, yeah i would have gotten pics but i had no way to get there and my dad sure wasn't about to drive me up for pics.
