Tachometer Failure
I am currently having problems with my tach not working intermittently. It will work when I fire the car up but during driving it will sometimes just stops working. Everynow and then it will randomly start to work too.
I am guessing the sensor is bad because I don't think there is a cable. But i do not know where this sensor is located.

Check your ICM connection first. The white wire is for tach only. Then check your firewall connection, then lastly pull the gages out and check for anything broken or damaged.

If any other guages ever act funny, you could have bad connections in the gauge terminals which is a common problem.

Which I do... My Driver information center shorts out all of the time! I guess I will check the ICM first and proceed with tearing the dash apart and cleaning the connectors.
Thanks Guys.
