Is a supercharger an option?

I have a 93 bonneville se and i was wondering if it is possible to put in a supercharger. would it even be worth the expenses? also, i have been looking into getting a new exhaust and i can't find anything for the bonnevilles any suggestions?[/list]

The ages-old question surfaces again. Don't worry, you're not the first, and you won't be the last
I'll answer the exhaust first. You can do a custom exhaust yourself, or wait for Hector (99bonnevilleSE) at www.angryducktofuracing.com I'd advise waiting to see what he comes up with. Nobody makes a bolt-on exhaust, but he'* working on it, and custom headers, too.
No, you can't just pop a supercharger on the top end, at least if you're thinking taking an OEM off of a SC Bonneville or Grand Prix. Partial list of things that are different between your car and mine: Heads, compression ratio, fuel rail, injectors, lower intake, engine wiring harness, pcm, and transaxle. You can put an aftermarket unit (www.zzperformance.com), but by the time you spend that much money, you could combine it with what you could sell your car for, and buy a newer SSEi. Or just mod the hell out of your NA for the same money, like turtle_sse or Complinitor.
I'll post an article up in Techinfo on this subject.

thanks for all the help. I figured that trying to put a supercharger on wouldn't be worth it. I'll look into the exhausts. Does anybody know of anyother mods that i could do to my SE that would get me a little bit faster? Like a shift kit for somethng. I just want to put some of those rice burners away and i am almost at that point just being stock with an intake. Thanks again.

Instead of a shift kit, you may want to consider letting a chip do the work for you. After all, it'* an electronically controlled tranny. Do the intake and exhaust. Change to a 180° thermostat, and go to a JET or Superchip. Some of us are evaluating both chips right now. We're gonna put our heads together and write an article up when we figure out the differences.
You can answer a question for me. My 93SSEi has factory headers instead of an exhaust manifold. Does your SE have them too? Puts you a leg up on the competition when it comes time to do your exhaust if you do. If you don't, Hector is building a custom set. I need to send him a pic today of the EGR location for Series1, and I'm betting he'* nearly done welding them.
You should be able to reach 200+ horsepower easily and for fairly little money. 200 is respectable, especially when you look at the torque these little monsters produce. That'* where the rice-killing comes in! You can already take a V6 Mustang. With a little work, you'll take the V-8'*, too. Rice is easier, as long as those idiots keep thinking wings, stickers, and fart cans add horsepower (Shhhhhh..... Don't let them read this!)

LOL today on the way home from school i actually tried to take a v8. LOL the funny thing is that i won. it was a v8 camarro. i guess that you have to take the fact that it is pooring outside right now and he just sat and span for an hour. i just putted through the intersection laughing. About the exhaust. I believe it is factory headers not manifold, but since it is pooring out i don't feel like going out and checking. Don't take my assumtion too far because i really am not that sure. I'll get back to you on that when it stops raining.
