Sunroof question
I have a problem with my sunroof. If I push teh button to open it it will only open half way then stop. If I push teh button again it will open all the way, then start clicking when it'* all the way open, but the motor is still trying to open it more. If I open it to vent, then close it, it goes right to opening the window. Any ideas what I need to check?

'Listing' those instructions would be an effort in futility. You need a service manual to go in that deep. Travis just did it last weekend, and it was a bitch.

That sounds like a lot of work, I may just leave it. Pushing the button is not that big of a deal. I thought it was just a limit switch or something simple.

I heard it wasn't too bad and they verbally gave JY monkey'* the directions..
Something about 20 minutes in the parky lot. While the manual should be a must.. let'* toss out the general info. There'* a few people that are in need and could use a basic rundown.

When I get pics ready I can do up a tech info.
Here'* a cliff notes:
remove headliner or at least drop the rear half
retract glass into roof
from the top of roof opening remove screws holding track assembly to roof (do not remove 2 of the screws, one on each side , second from the back.)
move glass to closed position
remove 2 screws holding motor onto roof
remove 2 screws holding transmission to roof
pop up glass/track assembly , pull forward to remove (being carefull not to scratch roof)
reverse process to install donor track.
the synching process is fairly easy, but hard to explain. Lets wait till I do the writeup.

If one goes bad I guess I'll need to put a battery into the car or hotwire the circuit to get it open and closed in the JY huh?
you can do it closed, you just have to remove the glass first ( 6 screws hold the glass on, you may have to remove the 3 screws on the through assembly also to get at the 6 glass screws.) with the glass closed, look at the front glass, see those 3 screws? remove them and push that whole assembly back. now you can remove the 6 glass screws and pop the glass off.
