Stupid question about the oil pan drain plug
My dad and I are in a bit of a tiff over the oil pan drain plug. He says that the rubber seal is just an Oring that can be replaced, and I think that its attached to the plug and if i pry it off it will ruin it and I will have to get a new on. It is a little cracked but not leaking yet...so who is right here...
hope its me

The seal is not part of the Plug and is replaceable...
If you need one, I believe I have a Couple... I'd have to search... But I'm sure I could toss it in an Envelope for you

I am 29 years old and i still love getting to do that! LOL
Mine has a split in the seal that doesnt run all the way to the outside..but if any of you guys have a good used one then by all means

That seal is replaceable. I find myself replacing it with a new nylon piece every couple years or so. (at least on my GM vehicles it'* replaceable).
Haro is not right on this one! (maybe he is if he'* running some aftermarket plug....but OEM is replaceable).
