Stuck thermostat, or just winter?

I had the same symptoms as you mentioned a couple weeks ago. Pulled my t-stat, pushed on it, etc noticed that it "operated" fine, but I immediately seen the results when I put a new one in.
You should be able to find new vac lines at the auto store. Those plastic ones get pretty brittle when they are cold.

I figured as much on the vacuum lines. One love tap with the ratchet and it snapped like a twig. The other ones already have cracked rubber ends, which I also taped up. We'll see how the car handles a couple hundred miles before Advance and AutoZone open up again on Saturday.

Case closed.
Over a hundred miles later, the electrical tape seems to be holding the FPR vacuum line just fine, but I'm still going to replace it and a couple rubber boots after the holidays — new thread coming soon, when I'm less tired.
