fuel pressure was within specs even when engine was running crappy. I do have occasional trouble with the power locks, but never power windows.

The locks/windows/fuel pump all share the same ground buss, but that doesn't mean ALL of them will fault at the same time.
When you tested the fuel pressure, was this under load/driving, or parked with no load?

OK, it was probably unrealistic to expect a recommendation for a mechanic. I think I'll try to find a good GM dealer. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll have some old school grey-hair who knows these 3800'* in and out like forum gurus do...

Though my signature does say 1997, but I use to own a 1995 like yours minus the supercharged engine. Until recently, I swapped out my L36 to supercharged. I'm still learning the supercharged engines. So forgive me if I'm not asking anything about the engine itself. We do have members here that are L67 proficient. But, like you, they have lives to live also and can't be on here 24/7.
I noticed on the other forum, you posted yesterday, and got no response, and you posted again, got nowhere huh? Please be patient, I understand that you are stressed because your stranded. My 95 stranded me 77 miles from FtDrum with a wife and kid, so I do know what its like.

Thanks Mike. I just read my last post and it sounded sarcastic but i did not mean it to. I really think I was unrealistic, because Ft. Wayne is not exactly a big city. I'm not a big fan of dealers usually, but I know 95'* are a transition year for scanners, and maybe the dealer has better scanners in general, I don't know. And I really do hope to find some old-school guy who has experience and intuition besides looking for codes and replacing parts.
