Im getting a squeaking, but sort more like a high pitch bark from under the hood. It seems like its coming from the a/c compressor area. The compressor is not on when it is making this awful noise. what could it be?

AC compressor clutch bearings are notoriously bad. The bearing itself can be changed so as not to have to buy a whole new clutch. Take the belt off wiggle the clutch and turn it.
