"a hair'" doesn't help much but the top should be in. IIRC you said the right wheel looks like it'* sticking out an inch. If the hair is 1/4 inch & it should in 1/4 of an inch then you found 1/2 of the 1 inch difference. If you check the left side & the top is in more than it should be then the difference right to left will be even less. You need to get the wheel alignment.

well i finally found a shop ( american tire factory ) local to me that deals with after market rims and tire'* and allignments on up to 26'' rims... his price for the full allignment for my car with the 20 inchers is only $69.95..

i explained to the guy ( chad ) over the phone the problem i was having and he siad im in desperate need of a serious alignment before i catch a blow out from the side wall being cut and then possibly need a new rim as well as possible other damage to the car...

so my appointment is for tomorrow at 10 am ( 4-22-08 )

i hope this fixes my issue as my friend that own'* a body shop has inspected my car and siad it was in no accident and the quarter panel is original so he even thinks its a bad wheel alignment since i changed the struts and springs already....

wish me luck.......

well i got the wheel alignmnt just now and the guy siad everything was badly off. he even gave me a print out of the degrees of what he moved and how much..

well anyway the very first thing the owner siad to me when i got there and handed him the keys were..

( there is your problem right there, your wheel'* are too damn big and incase you have'nt noticed your drinivng a family sedan not an suv ) then h broke out in laughter ..

i se this is not starting good...

well anyway he told me the wheel alignment has nothing to do with my issue of the tire being cut up.. he siad he is 100% positive its because i replaced the struts and springs with oem and not after market hardened one'* that have no movement or flex in them..

so then i asked him ( so why are there many other bonneville'* out there with 20'' and 22'' and riding on stock suspension and dont have a single problem. and why does it only happen to me on that one side..)

he then siad im lieing and he dont believe me as he been in the tire and rim buisness for 18 yrs..

so i got the wheel alignment and drove it home and it honestly feels alot better but im unsure if the issue has gone away..

i will drive it around today and see what happens but if the wheel alignment was not the cause then i will be out of $1200 that i just spent on rims and tires if i cant find what the problem is.. :?

so yeah this sucks..

oh and my tire looks like it has noodles hanging all over it as the rubber is that shreded around the whole tire and im so affraid to put on the new tire and damage it..

any other thoughts....
