Some kind of electrical problem... possibly security sys
Today i walked out to my bonny and opened the door... and my alarm goes off... even tho i have had it turned off.....
So, i try to disable the old POS security system..but it doesnt work... and the alarm is wineing...
And, now when u try to start the car... u get nothing.... nothing at all...
When my dad bought the bonny used.. it had a security system installed with remote door lock/unlocker thingy... (not stock)...
So anyways... i dont really know where to start... but i tried to jump the battery..and nothing....
I am basically lost here.....
And one more thing that i thought was weird, was that earlier today i noticed the trunk was open (unlocked)... and no one had poped the trunk.....
So now whenever u open the car doors the alarm goes off (very weak , messed up noise) and cannot be turned off by either the remotes or teh switch under the dash....
but it does go off when u open the trunk , and sometimes the doors...???
So, its probably something with the security system, a short, or ,....... i dont know..
Any help would be awesome

Well the first time i opened the doors... they were unlocked...
But the remote for the doors and security sys does not seem to do anything... does not disable the system or lock/unlock the doors...
and i did try two different remotes / keys..
Its something with teh security system, or a short or ground problem im assuming....

This is unclear because I'm not sure if you have a factory antitheft system. I'm also not sure what is causing the problem, the factory system, or the aftermarket system.
Did the remotes that you have come with the car from the factory, or are they for the aftermarket system?

I'd start by finding and disconnecting it, then see where things stand. Hopefully this will not disable anything when you unplug it; unfortunately since it'* aftermarket, it'* hard for us to say anything specific without more information (e.g. Brand of aftermarket system?)

Yes it is aftermarket... not sure what brand tho...
Anyways... today my dad had AAA come to tow the car.. and they tried to jump it once again.... and where able to (my dad said he just fliped the toggle switch for the security sys a bunch of times and eventually it shut off...)
But, after they jumped the car and had it running... it started smoking (apparently a oil line sprung a leak...)
So, know the car is at the shop...
Bad luck i guess.....

Was the car parked someplace where you would have heard the alarm if it had gone off overnight?

haha, nah thats all right..
The remotes are not pontiac... they are the aftermarket one..and they lock/unlock the doors and disable/enable the system (when its turned on)
I wasnt with my dad when the AAA guy came...so i am not sure what exactly happened...but he said after he got the car running it started smoking.... and there was oil leaking under the radiator area....
I was in an accident less than a month ago... and im not sure if that could have cause the line to break... the impact was on the front... but it did not look like it damgaged the radiator... just bent the a/c cond. in the front....
My dad said that it was spewing oil... so i dont think it was just accumulated oil....
It is in my driveway... so most likely.... but when i noticed it was going whacky (after opening the door) it was very very weak and distorted... so i would not have heard it in the condition it was in be4 the battery was jumped...
here is a pic of the damage from teh accident - http://www.patmedia.net/daveoskin1/bonny.jpg
I didnt think there was any real mechanical probs... cept the a/c cond. is bent... but now that oil was leaking ..... i dont really know.... hopefully thats it... the radiator hasnt lost any coolant and the car hasnt overheated or anything (of course it is pretty cold out and all , so i dont know for sure)
