But seriously, the little book that came with it tells me how to hook it up and stuff.. And i guess i should look at DTC'* for the system I wanna know about right? ...cause it'* a huge book... And I'm kinda lazy... So uhh.... feel sorry for me eh?

My Actron came with two books. One for the tool, one for the cartridge. The cartridge manual has all the descriptions in it for each parameter. It explains how they work.
Best thing for you to do is to make notes in the margin of the cartridge manual, with the optimum idle or WOT readings from the FSM. Then you don't have to switch back and forth all the time.
