I actually got something figured out. If I spaz the shifter up and down from P to 1 for 15 seconds, I can get the parking pinion to disengage and the car to move forward in Drive until I move it out of Drive. Using this method, I can probably drive the car around the entire house through the lawn until I get back into the driveway and into the garage. I'll take a picture when I get a chance.

The snow finally melted and the ground is more solid, so I may attempt to move the car now. I'll take pictures at that time.
I'm still very curious as to whether or not I might be able to unbolt the side cover off of the transmission just enough to pull it out from the top or move it off to the side. It seriously does look like there would be enough room at least to get to it, and I wouldn't even have to change the transmission fluid if I tilted the car a little. Has anyone even tried it? I can't imagine the engine bay of a Bonneville being smaller than that of my Regal.
Also, I ordered the part I needed. It is expected to ship on the 8th of February. $23 was the cost of the part, shipped. The "official" term is the parking pawl actuator.

I don't ever remember trying to take that side cover off while it'* installed. But from the looks of it, maybe moving the trans down a little, you may be able to squeeze it by the valve body.

On the same note, how am I expected to get the pan off out the bottom if I can't get it off out the top? Is there a better angle when getting it out from the bottom?

Alright, so I got the car moved. Wherever that end is, it didn't seem to do any damage. Once I got the parking pawl disengaged with the shifter in the 1st gear position, it was as if nothing had ever happened.
Anyways, here'* what I had to go through.
That'* my fiance'* dad'* old camry. Battery was dead, as was the Regal'*. Had to jumpstart them both with the Bonneville.

That'* where it used to be parked

The garage where the Bonneville is parked in front of is where I needed to get the Regal, without going in reverse, because it won't go in reverse.

So...around the left side of the house, around the back, and back into the driveway.

It now waits until I can clean out that garage spot to make enough room to pull it in. Hopefully the parking brake will disengage one last time.
