Sorry man... yeah, I shouldn't have posted that in this thread. BUT............
if you would have read more closely you would have seen that the pic I posted was of an L36 gasket, and that it doesn't exist on an L27. Still, I do apologize. I created a lot more confusion than was necessary. Hope you can get your project started in good shape tomorrow.

Its ok Im not blaming you at all just myself. Instead of reading it thoroughly when I had that first gasket I just skimmed through it and came to the conclusion that I had the wrong one so thats where I made a huge mistake. BTW this Fel-Pro stuff that I got for the LIM gasket says not to use a sealant, should I not use one?

And for the throttle body? Is it ok if I separate the LIM from the UIM if I get some gasket maker and put them back together because I am certain there is tons of stuff built up in there and I woul really like to get my intake system all cleaned up.

Everything smells like gasoline but Im having a blast! Broke some metal things to get the injector plugs off because I couldnt find any other way to do it but they should be fine. Things are going good so far but I need to go get a few tools from the store to keep it goin.

Actually I tried everything else BUT that, lol. Its cool though I seriously doubt the plugs will pop out because they are still pretty snug in there without those metal clips. It would have been great if the stupid Haynes manual explained it better but I got mad and just popped all of them out and sent them flying. Didnt get a whole lot done today but the fuel rail and most of the brackets are off I just have to drain the coolant tomorrow and take off the manifolds.

Well.... Not really. It'* plastic so it could break, You're looking at a bit of money to replace it if it happens. I really wish you wouldn't, But I'd hate for you to be uninformed in trying it against my advice.
If you really feel you must, And you're feeling very lucky, Once you get the manifolds off the car:
1. Remove the rest of the bolts in the manifold.
2. GENTLY seperate the two peices.
3. In the bottom side of the UIM is the rest of the intake tubes, If you cannot easily remove this, Let it soak in a sensor safe cleaner. It should simply lift out.
4. Clean everything, Do not use a gasket scraper, at all, ever on those mating surfaces. Ever. Clean everything with cleaners. No scraper.
5. Completly dry the entire thing.
6. Apply gasket maker to the mating surfaces of the UIM.
7. Put it back together.
8. Tighten bolts to 30Nm or 22 ft. lb. in a circular fashion from the center.

UIM came off like nothing and there IS a gasket in between. Got everything off and am cleaning it up as best as I can. LIM practically looks brand new but I still have to rinse off some stuff with the throttle body cleaner when I buy some more but the UIM is a PITA to clean up because its hard to get in the crevices. Im thinkin about just getting a small spoon and scraping out all the gunk that is inside the UIM and then just spray everything else. Gaskets look horrible and I get excited when I compare the new VS the old one, lol. Should hopefully be done Tuesday. I really wish I could port and polish the LIM but my dad is sort of wants it done right away and probably wouldnt let me do it anyway.

Yea Im quite anxious about getting it all back together and seeing how it runs. This should improve a lot of things.
