Default Which Scan Tool for a 94 SE

OK, I am going nuts trying to figure out my stumbling problem. I want to get a scan tool for my 94 SE. From my understanding, 94-94 were the transition years from OBD-1 toOBD-2. They have an OBD-2 connector but mostly OBD-1 protocols. Question: Will an OBD-2 scan tool work with my car? The OBD-1 tools have the wrong connector. My SES light came on for awhile when I was doing some highway driving last week so I want to find out what is going on. Anyone have any experience with scan tools and the 94-95s?
Thanks

Hi I also have a 94 SE your have the obd II connector but your car corresponds with the OBD I codes...so you have to get a scantool like the actron cp9110 which uses the obd I codes and you can get the connector for the OBD II I purchased one off ebay!

STEVEJ94,
CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR STUMBLING PROBLEM YOUR HAVING. I HAVE SPORADIC PROBLEM WITH MY 94' AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THAT FEELS LIKE THE ENGINE IS STUMBLING. IF IT GOES ON LONG ENOUGH IT WILL TURN ON THE SES LIGHT. IF I PULL OVER AND TURN OFF THE IGNITION AND TURN IT BACK ON THE LIGHT STAYS OFF.

Default scan tool

Thanks neon and fuddyduddy. I think I located one on ebay with the right cables, etc.

Brew,
You can find info ad-nausium regarding my stumbling problems in the topic "low-load miss" in this same discussion forum. To date, I have replaced, plugs, plug wires, coil packs, ICM, O2 sensor and cleaned the throttle body and looked for vacuum leaks (also replaced all upper intake gaskets). Nothing has made much of a difference.
