Rough Start Up???
Hello ??? 98 SLE. Just changed a bunch of wiring going to O2 rear sensor and other componets. Its been running great for about 3 weeks and finally passed emisions test. I also changed a wire that goes to an injector plug that broke down internally. And I changed the wire that goes to the injector fuse (pass side) and goes to where the hot wires out of the injector meet.
I have noticed lately when you first start it up it supperterd slightly. And sometimes when you first start it up and accelerate it would stall (only did that 4 times in last @ month). Now today the sputtering was noticeable. And when getting on highway, it threw the dreaded random misfire code (I rather a specific cylinder or injector) I can diagnose it easier. I came home and tested the restistance in each coil and the top two were @ 6.8 and the bottome @ 6.4. Is that close enough. I have another I could swap in but don't want to start stabbing in the dark. Should I check the ground buss terminal-is there one on the pass side and if so could that cause these symptoms??? Ugh where to begin. Could it be also an EGR gasket bad causing bad pressure??? THANKS ANYONE & EVERYONE!! David B

Hi Dave...
With what you wrote, I'm sure you realize it could be anything. Let'* go through the basics and work our way up.
Those coils are close enough for what is needed. I'm going to assume with all the work you've recently done that the plugs and wires are fresh. The #4 and #6 plug wires should be checked to ensure they aren't touching the O2 wiring.
How many miles on the car? Any idea if the upper intake has ever been changed? (Has date codes on top of it) Any idea if the fuel pressure is good? Please pull the vac line off the regulator and double check for any fuel in it.
