I just happened to be reading some things last night and happened on this exact problem and some possible fixes.
Now I have no idea what each of you have tried, but some recommended diagnistics are:
Check or replace fuel filter,
If problem persists, do a fuel pressure test, as car may be running lean.
Also, interestingly, it was mentioned that a car that has been running lean for a long time may have a damaged catalytic converter, form the excessive heat caused by running lean.

I know Nate changed the cat a while back when the old one ran off to chase a mouse.
You guys have checked the vacuum lines and all that happy stuff? My 95 was always a little rough on idle...I figured it was part of the car. Never found anything.

I have the same problem in my 92se. When it idles rough though, the voltage gauge and sometimes the oil pressure gauge flucuate slightly, sort of in tune with the roughness, if that makes any sense. I recently had my water pump fail, which in turn shredded my belt, and the idle seemed to be smooth for a few days after. Also, sometimes when its rough, I can see the idle tensioner pully move a little bit. There was a post on here a while back where some guy repacked his bearings, and that made the pully smoother. I tried to do it, but I couldnt get the pully off.

well i know nate is aware of my cam sensor issue on my old 92 SE when my cam sensor started to go out it would idle rough at higher temps but fine cold so i had to disect the whole timing chain cover to get the magnet out of the cam gear and while i did this i got new cam+crank gears, chain, the chain tensionor, the magnet that is mounted in the cam gear, the cam sensor that is mounted on the outside of the case, the oil pressure sender unit, and crank sensor. since then my brother drives the car and for the 12000 miles added after that project we have no problems with hesitation or idle problems.
but that is not to say that is any of your guys problems
