What'* the condition of your fluid?

That'* not possible on an OEM 93 or older 4T60. There is no thermocouple in the trans valvebody. It'* just a thermal switch to trigger 'limp' mode.
At some point in time, someone must have replaced yours with something else, which means you can read the temp, but the PCM would not know when to trigger limp. The logic in the PCM wouldn't support the data stream from the sensor.

After adding almost 2 bottles of ATF, it still doesnt engage. That trans was thirsty. It shifts a lot smoother in normal driving and when changing r/n/f. I guess it'* up to the rents' if they want to fix it or not. They may just want to wait until it goes. I dont, because i have to drive it for over another year, the camaro isnt near running, and we dont have another vehicle.

I visited the best trans shop around here and....they said its OK for now. It has the tcc lock, and they showed me exactly how to test it ect ect. They also said I have a bad trans mount, and signs of 2nd gear trouble. I had my dad ride with me today, and we confirmed this:
At 50 MPH the tach reads 1800, and the slip is in the -10 to 7 range.
At 60 MPH the tach reads 2100, and the slip is in the 10 to 20 range.
The faster you go with the more load, the higher the slip. The trans guy said that when the slip gets too high, the computer will throw a code, and thats when it is about to go. So for now, I should just keep driving it. I guess the tcc slip isnt that bad, it only looks like it with the tach being off. Can anyone confirm when the computer throws a code for TCC slip?

By the time the trans throws a code it will be too late... But yes, if the amount of slip exceeds a certain value then yes you will get an SES light and a slip code...
Now keep in mind I have been driving mine with 60-80 Rpms of slip for 4 years... I believe installing my massive cooler has helped me out.. But I am planning that it will fail.. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow or in several months... But sooner or later with the miles its bound to wear out the clutches...
Keep the fluid changed, and keep it cool and it may give you more life than you think..
as well you really want to see 0 Rpms of slip... But 0-10 is more than acceptable... Your trans is in far better shape than mine![Wink](https://www.gmforum.com/gm/images/smilies/wink.gif)
