Rear auto ride system doesn't work.
I replaced the pump in the rear of the 97 Ei since although the pump motor worked it didn't pump air. I now get air to the rear trunk on/off accessory valve but can't seem to get the pump to turn on if I place over 200 lbs in the trunk, (my weight). I checked the manual and I believe 5b fuse on the drivers side relates to the command ride as well as the abs but the 10 amp fuse is good. Is the command ride related to the traction control or rear auto adjust height which I'm looking for?
Did I check the wrong fuse or should I check something else?

I thought the system waited a few seconds prior to turning the pump on??

I started the car, then sat on the rear open trunk for 3 minutes and never heard the pump go on. I thought the pump would go on after about 30 seconds of added weight in the trunk.

Have you checked the load leveling sensor underneath? Disconnect the arm and move it down to see if the pump kicks on.

I turned the ignition on, removed the arm and placed it in the lowest position for about 3 minutes then the highest position for another 3 minutes and didn't hear the pump kick in. Any idea which fuse or relay I can check for or any other suggestions?

Just throwing this out there, I was under the impression it only leveled the car. So just dropping weight in would not set it off, you would have to throw it off balance by putting weight on one side or the other.
Also, did you check the load leveling sensor like Mike mentioned?

I'm under the impression that it relevels the rear end should it go up or down for some reason. Placing over 200 lbs in the trunk would lower the rear end by over an inch so I would imagine the compressor would turn on to level as it did before.
As for the test that Mike1995 suggested, my previous post details that I did perform the test and it failed.

Franker Franker Franker....Hiya buddy.
When you kick on the key (ign only, starting is not needed), after about 37-50 seconds the ELC exhausts a little and then runs for 2-5 seconds to reprime what it exhausted. After that, any weight you add should be compensated for with additional air.
Is your pump running for the initial exhaust and compressor turn on for 2-5 seconds.

No, it will only run when I press the on button in the trunk with the ignition on. When the hose is connected there is substantial air to fill tires but I can't get the pump to turn on for the auto ride system regardless of what I've tried. .

Ok. And if you weigh the system down it doesn't run.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe if you check the FSM you will find the switch located on the RR control arm for level is required for the initial system check purge/fill. Kinda sounds like you have a switch or connector issue.
