Post-op problems
I just got my alternator put in along with a new belt. She started at 14 volts and gradually went down and stayed normal. After a bit of driving on the highway, coming to a stop, the voltage drops. I turn the wheel from a stop to make a turn into a street, voltage drops. I'm so confused. I just don't understand why she'* still doing this. I just don't get it. :(. Hopefully Dan chimes in. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions?

You don't say what the voltage drops down to etc. Being in the 92-99 area, I can tell you that there is no "Sense" wire on your alternator, therefore it doesn't know how much voltage it'* putting out. It regulates it'* output, but not based on any input.
Some of us added a Sense wire to help this issue.
also..when you put a load on the motor at idle, like turning the wheels, the engine rpm dips a little. That means the alt turns slower, and produces less power.
Plus your pcm is likely programmed to turn off the alternator field at any rpm under 600.

How do I add a sense wire? And where can I get one?
It'* strange because my truck doesn't do that. It worries me since I'm adding some draw to it soon. I just want it to stop

you may want to check your power steering fluid cause if its low the pump will strain and slow the serp system causing the alt to slow n voltage to drop
