You can do two people a big favor later on when you can afford it.......the ADTR will make you much happier in the performance and looks department, and at the same time you help support the shops that support us. That'* critical for the success of all our members, especially in the Bonneville community. I don't normally post this in public, cuz it sounds like I'm sucking up, but I'll go on since I already put my foot in my mouth:

We have 4 shops solidly behind us. One doesn't get used much due to the extreme performance and cost of his parts (Scott Cook at intenseracing.com)

Of the other 3, 2 are long-time members, and one recently joined up with us:

Angry Duck and Domestic Performance started back when we were tiny, and stuck around for the long-haul. Hopefully as our numbers grow, their business will too, because they're both very dedicated to our community. They both often cut their profit or take a loss to keep the dream alive. I look forward to both businesses growing with us, but we do have to support them when we can. That means......gut your airbox now, but if you later decide to improve on it, and you have the cash, there'* a couple good places to look!

Pulley Boys is falling into this category, as well. Brian has been spending alot of his time hashing things out with me as I gather the info we need from him. The neat thing is that none of these companies are DIRECT competitors with each other. They each have their niche.

I'll close by taking this opportunity to give a big salute to all 4 of these Companies. Thanks for backing us

Here is an idea for an intake. I did this awhile ago. It'* a 6" cone K&N with 4" PCV pipe. I bought all the parts except for the filter at a plumbing store. It cost around $80. I know the support is jimmyrigged but i don't care, i'll make a nice support for it later. I still have to repair the damage from my bonne rally accident.
The only problem with using PVC pipe is that it will start to melt on hot days when your driving and things get hot. Also, it is really heavy. I looked into making mine outta PVC and found out that it melts and i bought some and it was really heavy. One day, I found this aluminum ducting stuff over at home depot and made mine outta that. it'* durrable and very light weight. then put a k&n like cone on it and it works great. my car sounds really nice now and i did feel performance gains. just a suggestion, to use something else besides PVC.Go Home Depot Performance!!LOL

I was gonna gut my air box. But when I took it out, and looked at it.... It looks pretty much hollow. Is it supposed to? 1994 SE.

But yes, will, I am going to be buying the ADTR CAI as soon as I can get it for the series 1.

The series 1 airbox is pretty 'clean' already. It'* the series 2 that got nasty. Just punch holes in a series 1 and add ducting like you see on my webpage. That'* the discount version.
