PEM'* installation -do valve cover gaskets too?
Would it make it easier to pull the valve covers too (for the installation of the ported exhaust manifolds)?
I finally got the coated/ported mani'* back from testing (series I stock and coated/ported and Series II H-body stock manis), and with a huge exhaust leak from my original mani'* I have to get the new one'* on today.

Bump, manifolds are hanging in place (all nuts and bolts removed and ready to remove from car). Can't see any leaks from the valve covers, but I'm also curious to pop them off just for a look-see.
Will it be worth the time?
BTW - front mani had MAJOR cracking where the #3 tube hit the larger connector tube, and there was a 2" crack in the crossover right up front, was hidden by the heat shield attached to the crossover pipe, but it was so much air leaking that the insulation was being blown out of under the heat shield.

Its not going to hurt anything to take 'em off. I'd do it just for preventive matiance if they are not leaking (yet). Also leave off the engine brackets, this will save almost 5 pounds and make it easier to change spark plugs. + I think it makes the engine look better.
