Well, after wiggling my junk, superglued sensor, the car seemed to settle down and drive normally again. So today I picked up the $15 Wells replacement from AutoZone and swapped it out. The car is back to idling and starting normally, and the CEL is no longer illuminated. The air conditioner also acts as it should, blowing cold air all the time now. I guess with a faulty or intermittent coolant temp sensor, the climate control thinks it'* blowing cool air when it'* actually picking up heat off the heater core?
At least all seems well again. Thanks for the advice, Boost
