Could be the oil pressure sender or the gages cluster.

Yes...my oil gage does that too...AND now my temp gage is also....sort of scary when you look down and see 120psi along with 280 deg F.....especially in the morning pulling out of the driveway!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Oil Pressure Problem

Mine did the same thing.... Bought a new sending unit at dealer... problem solved.

It was an easy fix. Remove the right front wheel and sending unit is at top of oil filter. A little teflon tape on the threads and screw it in.

Easy as cake...

Default lol,

my gauge is te opisite, wouldnt be to bad but it bitches and mones at me to check my oil pressure (cuz it says it low) I havnt put a master gauge to it, but not knocks or clangs. could I just disable it? its useless anyway.. no need for it on any car, the barings and oil pump should never need replacing during the life of a vehicle oil pump is the best built thing on the engine.
