oil pressure psi. for engine
i just done a oil pressure test on my 96 SSEI. if you want you can read the thread i wrote yesterday about the problems with oil pressure gauge.
OK with the car at 90 (half way) on the temp gauge(Canadian car) and my foot on the brake and it in drive the mechanical gauge read 1 time 33-35,/ 2 time 30,/ 3 time 24-25 @95 on temp
car at 90 temp at an idle 1 time 38-40,/ 2 time 35-38
i cant tell if this is good or not

oh all so, i noticed a SMALL amount of coolant at the front of the motor down by the LIM. i am going to assume that my LIM has a small leak, but is it possible that it is leaking out and not in to motor.

Having too many threads for one thing can confuse us grease monkeys.
I think I remember the thread. Either way. Keeping in mind that we are mixing Celcuis and PSI (in my book we shoudl probably be talking Celcius and kpa'*...but I digress).
At 90-95 the 30-40psi readings are quite normal and good. The 20-25 is a little lower than I'd like, however that is at 95C which is the engine warming up and your oil getting thinner. With the car in gear and foot on the brakes, the rpm is at it'* lowest point we'll ever see it.
Ok, so what was the reason we sent you for a test? BTW.. you were also supposed to give us a 2000rpm number too.

ok just for a quick back date on this, yesterday while i was out at a red light the oil pressure dropped to the red and the temp was around 90-95 as the light turned green and i drive off the oil press went almost up 275, while driving pressure is good just at a stop, on a hard take off the pressure shoots sky high
i will go back out and warm the car back up and do a 2000 rpm is there any thing else you will need.

Had to do a little work.
Here'* the rub. Your oil pressure might be tanking, the only true way to know is to keep driving. Your oil filter could be causing this. Some of the lower cost and fram filters have this effect on a car at times. The oil that was put in may be the culprit. If a 0W-20 was used instead of a 5W-30 or 10W-40 that can make a difference.
I would probably change the oil and filter to ensure it'* not the oil.

i done an oil change 3 weeks ago. i used a MOTOMASTER oil filter and the oil was MOBIL SUPER 10W-30
as far as "drive it and see what happenes" i cant do that cause on the 12th im leaving Newfoundland and driving to Ontario for christmas and then back to Newfoundland, round trip is about 5000km i just dont know what to do at this point. at this point there no knocking for pinging even when the pressure went into the red

ok i just let the car idle for 30 mins. put the car in drive the the machanical gauge read 24psi. then i put the car back in park and brought the rpm'* up to 2000 and the gauge read 45psi
now when i had the oil pressure switch in the car before i hooked up the gauge the gauge in the car was half way in the red and sometimes it 0 with the car in drive and my foot on the brake.

It is very tough to feel a bearing and find any issues until the bearing is knocking loudly.
Being US, I'm not familiar on the brand of filter you used. Is that a good filter, low cost filter or middle of the road filter?
To drop the pan and get to the bearings. You will need an oil pan gasket. Remember to remove/unscrew the oil level sensor before trying to remove the pan or it will catch on the pickup tube. The pickup tube then has to be unbolted to get the gasket off the engine, this is because the frame is in the way of the gasket moving.
