Heh, they fooled you. That is the transmission shift modulator. Replace your oil pressure sensor, your problem will be fixed.

that is the trans Vacuum shift modulator, when a new trans i built the shop usually puts a new shift modulator,

Here is where the oil pressure sender is

you can access it thru the passenger side wheel well.....remove the inner liner and you can see it rather esay

OK

I don't have the receipt in front of me

But they said they replaced the oil pressure switch....

does that like uh, fit in here anywhere?

and again, it'* not pegged at 120

it fluctuates, at idle its down by 40-- varies by engine speed

Oil level switch should be in the front of the oil pan.

okay...

so... what does that do... what is the difference between the switch and the sensor...?

wait

ok,, so if the switch is inside the pan, or whatever, that measures the amount of oil, and the sensor measures the pressure (tada)

in the front of the pan... does that mean inside the pan... how would I have broken that... unless the guy meant sensor...

Oh, and remember...this is a 02+ motor!
the sender gives the gague the reading

the switch gives the low oil light on the cluster

the Series 2 motor is the same 96-05
