Is the 10th didget of you vin an " * "
I have a 1994 Build on my 95 Bonneville and it uses the coarse thread drain plug... Friends 95 Grand am uses the same plug as well..
The series I oil pan is fine thread, and the Series II pan is a coarse thread... so I am a little confused...lol

Was that your pan, or your plug that was stripped? If it'* your pan, why not just drill and tap it - conversely, is it possible to throw a die to the drain plug?
