Obd 1.5
I have a 1994 olds 88 lss with the obd 1.5 system. Is there a way to check the codes with my computer if i buy a adapter? I am throwing a abs and trac light. I need something that will communicate with both systems. Anyone have a idea on what i should buy. the tech 1 scanner is way out of my price range.

check out advance auto or auto zone. they have scanners that can read those codes and a couple of them come with switchable ends to read obd1, 1.5, and 2

essentially OBD 1.5 is OBD 1 with the plug for 2 have you tried the paper clip jump on it? not sure where the pins are on the 1.5 plug but the engine light should do the blink thing like OBD 1 when you jump those pins with a paper clip

I use the Actron 9110 with the GM 94-95 adapter on both my cars. Not sure if it reads ABS. But it does give live data. Pretty cheap if you can find one on Ebay.

OBD 1.5 is different from 1 and 2. It does use the same plug as 1, but you cannot short the A and B pins to read the codes.
I've had a custom cord made to read my 1.5 and I use Tuner Pro to look at the Data Stream.
