Noise--was when turning, now when coasting?

Those are sealed bearings in your front hubs. Not exactly simple to grease them.
Did you grab a hold of the cv shaft at both joint and try to move it?

Yeah, I didn't get any movement of the cv shaft either. But I wasn't in the best position, as I'm without jack stands, using only a jack, and didn't wanna throw myself under the car just in case.
Think I'll take it to a shop and have them throw it on a lift and check things out. Ugh.

Haven't gotten to go anywhere to check it out--been basically flooded in at my hill lately.
Cleaning the car(if it doesn't work right, might as well look great!) and noticed this:
Circled in red, it is turning freely. On the right side, it does not turn at all.
What is this? Is this the source of my noise? Is it not an issue?

You know those moments in car maintenance you feel like a idiot?
Yep. My wheel had 3 loose lugnuts. Like..loose enough to take off by hand.
Tightened them up and I have no noise at all.
Thanks everyone for the help though. Sway bar ends next on my list. Woohoo!

Sway bar ends, huh? I recently posted a thread about mine; maybe you can pick up a few hints and parts lists. As Dan'* how-to shows, it doesn't seem that hard.
