I'm getting things straightened out with my '97 Bonneville SE with the SLE package. One of the problems is with the traction control system.
First off, when I turn the ignition on, the "Traction Off" light does not illuminate during the bulb check. Also, when I press the Traction Control swtich on the center console, the light on the switch stays on. When pressing the switch, no "Traction Off" light illuminates.
Could I just have a burnt bulb? If so, why doesn't my Traction Control switch work properly? The light shouldn't stay on all the time. I have no PCM or BCM codes set.
I have the normal SE cluster without Driver Information Center or Compass.
Thinking about it, I don't remember seeing the ABS light on during the bulb check... I'll have to double check tomorrow.
