new here. few irritating questions.
Names Josh. 95 bonneville SE
193k on it. rebuilt trans.
The RPMs jump up and down between 1000 and almost 0 then it idles back up then finally dies.
I replaced the Idle Air CV and that did absolutely nothing.Checked all my vacuum lines for leaks briefly.
It starts well cold with the IAC valve plugged in but will jump RPMs until it dies.Starts very hard with it unplugged and occasionally will sputter when you gas it cold.
When its warmed up it runs fine if you unplug the IAC valve. Idles a little high but doesnt die or jump RPMs. As soon as you plug it back in, it jumps RPMs and dies.
Also on the freeway, the best i can describe it it a hard "miss" does it every 5 miles or so.
The car just feels like it doesnt fire on one or two cyls then runs great for a few more miles.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

There are a couple of things I see as possible.
Have you checked and cleaned your MAF sensor?
The other is the ecm. The 94/95'* would sometimes go bad and cause oddities that were tough to follow or diagnose. When all else failed, a ecm swap would frequently fix it right up.
