Need coil resistance readings

This is strange someone may want to try this.
These resistance readings were taken the other day with the car stone cold and outside temp 40*.
Original 96 Regal L36 Coils
Coil 6-3 = 5,38 K ohms @ 40*
Coil 2-5 = 5,52 K ohms @ 40*
Coil 4-1 = 5,45 K ohms @ 40*
Checked today with motor at operating temp and all readings were 1000 ohms higher.
Checked again 3 hours later 40* outside and resistance is back down 1000 ohms?
Made sure VOM and leads were working properly by using a 6.7K resistor as a benchmark before and after each resistance reading.

It looks as if I started an interesting thread. Well, I'm still a bit confused. When speaking with WillWren last week I tested my original (1997 L67) coils, and newly purchased MSD coils. However, after speaking w/a friend on the LeSabre T-Type Forum and a tech at MSD I was checking my coils incorrectly.
I initially tested the secondary'* (top leads where the spark plug wires connect) with the secondary. But was told I should've tested one secondary coil with one primary (bottom lead, which plugs onto the ICM) coil, or primary to primary.
It was difficult to get a good connection from the primary lead, so I tore off the bottom of one of my bad coils and got a good connection, but no reading (when I tried to test it from primary to primary, or primary to secondary), both was no reading. Thus the only was I got a reading was secondary to secondary.
Question Was the MSD tech correct? And if so, why did I not receive a reading when trying to test the coil primary to secondary and primary to primary?
ps. WillWren I did replace that one original L67 looking coil. MSD tech also stated they never had any bad stock/output/recall of their coils.

Found some interesting coil pack readings.
Couple days ago, Bill PM'd me about checking the coils on the 95. It always idled a little funky and it had been on my mind (I asked in another thread about the 94SE to 95SSEi compatibility.)
Anywho, I checked my packs and found the 1/4 pack tested at 5.2 while the other two tested at 6.2 and 6.3 respectively. While waiting for my wife to finish up work, I quickly swapped in the old ones from the 94 that tested at 6.1 6.3 6.3. My idle cleared up nicely.
Last night, Bill was testing the 93 that Tracey'* (Singscountry1967) son now owns since I had mentioned that this solved the funky idle problem and found 1 pack was testing at 9.something while the other two were in the 6ish range. I gave him one of the 6.3 packs from the old set and the 93 started behaving itself. I guess these things need to be putting out closely matched voltage for best performance?

I remember seeing the primary & secondary info on MSD'* site. My main concern was, did I test the coils correctly? Primary to Primary and Secondary to Secondary or Primary to Secondary? The tech also mentioned the secondary should be ard 7.8 ohms. Again, just trying to confirm if I'm testing the coils correctly...
