But what is with my temp guage staying stuck at the bottom then rising to about 200 in about 5 minutes or so. I'm not talking about normal climbing range I'm mean it'* stays at bottom for awhile then moves instead of climbing slowly.

Yea! I'm getting about sick of this car already. I've had it for about a month and I've had nothing but problems and I think more are coming. My master cylnder is leaking and supposley my water pump is going out. I gotta get heat because it'* gonna be cold soon (it'* already starting to get cold). Everytime I buy a car it falls at time where everythng seems to be going out. I can't stand constantly putting money into a car. Once in awhile is normal but when everything goes at once and it'* about to be winter and I live in an apartment with no garage. It looks like it'* shop bound and I'll be working to keep my car going.

Now this is referred to the climate control right!

If you ask me, I'd say a gauge problem. I'm on my second cluster. The first one read accurately but didn't work most of the time. On the new one, my temp gauge starts at about 210 and is at 280 within minutes. Then it floats around.

It just started doing this a couple of days ago. It was fine before. As soon as I got my car running again it started doing it.

Warm means temp up. I was scratching my head too when I read it for the first time.

I'm going to go out right now and do the diagnostic to see what code I get before I get myself worked up.

Air mix valve and actuator description:

System air is heated, as necessary, by passing it through the heater core. An air mix valve, located inside the heater and A/C module assembly, determines how much air passes around the heater core and how much is forced through the core. When all air is forced through the heater core, maximum heating is obtained. When all air is routed around the heater core, no heating is obtained.

The air mix valve is operated by the air mix valve actuator, which mounts on the heater and A/C module assembly. The actuator contains a reversible DC motor that is powered by the HVAC programmer. The programmer uses information from the heater and A/C control assembly and its network of sensors to determine appropriate air mix valve position. The programmer then powers the actuator motor to run in the direction necessary to move the air mix valve to that position.

I got a 140 and a 152. It'* looks like it is the airmix door.

There goes somemore money into this car that I got to spend because it'* almost winter. There aint no way I got the patience for that. I have no garage to do it in so it looks like I might as well pick up some ky and a towel because I'm getting it dry on this one.
