Alrighty, I dug in to check my spring. I had installed it correctly last time. But I put in a new spring, because the old one felt noticably weaker than the new one. 20 minute drive home and through town, pressure was up by 5 pounds in general. We'll see if that lasts. When I got home, I let it idle for a minute, it never dropped below 20 psi.

I'd have to remove the front cover to get to the oil pump, but I just removed the oil filter adapter by reaching through the wheel well. I removed in this order:
Passenger front wheel, fender liners, oil filter, oil cooler lines, oil filter adapter, spring and valve.
I had a couple ratchet/tripot (is that what it'* called?) clearance issues, but nothing I couldn't work around. And for future reference, oil cooler line collars are 13/16". I put new o-rings on those too. I've always had a little seepage from those.
