A Little Newbie Help
My transmission has been sliipping to the point that it has become a chore to drive. I have to start it in second and shift into third only when the rpm are above atleast 3000. and if i punch it while in 3rd it will go into neutral. when i make it to fourth and punch it the rpm stays at 1500-2500 and the boost gauge is pinned. The codes that came up were
6 40 QDM1
6 70 QDM4
besides the transmission there are no other evident problems with the vehicle
can anyone help me?

Would this Be Codes P0640 and P0740
OK... This is Code P0740 ... Here the PCM is seeing a Torque converter clutch Problem
Code P1640 is... QDM 1 Circuit..
This may be related to the Code above ... The PCM is seeing an improper voltage to one of the controlled items on the circuit...
The Boost Control Solenoid, EVAP Purge Solenoid And TCC Apply Solenoids are on this circuit...
