Default Little help please! :)

Shane'* taking the throttle body off tonight to clean it out, and he wants to know if there is a gasket between the throttle body and the intake. And if so is it reusable, or does it just need to be replaced? Oh and any throttle body advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks ya'all.

Yes, there is a rubber gasket seal b/w the throttle body and the upper intake. I recently cleaned my throttle body, careful to not get any cleaner on the MAF!!!! The seal can be purchased at a dealer or at Napa, etc. for around $10. Depending on how old your car is, you may or may not need to replace it. However, my approach was, since I had the entire top of the engine apart, I replaced any and all seals and gaskets at once. Hopefully, that will save labor in the future. Good Luck..... :P

I wouldn't do that. Getting anything on the MAF sensor can be scary.

Just barely Guess what I'm doing now? Working on my Mom'* car. A buick LeSabre with the L27. She got some bad gas, methinks, but the same symptoms as yours. Her fuel filter was full of crap, too.
