Your cat will only cause you problems at higher rpm'* and it will cause high operating temps.

The time for shotgunning and saying what if are over.

YOU need a scantool. You have a hybrid drivetrain and non-OEM PCM.

But Will: I was thinking the 4T60 didn't have enough electronics to have such a reading

Me and the Reatta.net guys think the torque converter went bye bye

Are getting a big jump in RPM'* when pulling away from a stop sign as if you were still in neutral?

I'd sa no. Take offs from a stop are normal, it just feels worse than when I've towed my stupid trailer with 2 quads on it.

do the rear tires spin freely?
My truck had an E-brake problem and felt the same way, like I was towing something. Freed the e-brake and all was good again.

The Reatta uses a pump to build up pressure for the ebrake doesn't it?

Ah yes. I recall hearing of he "F7" the Caddys had.

I wouldnt doubt that the tranny or torque converter let go in some way or another. I've known this would be the weak link in my drivetrain, just didnt know how weak. Its time has probably come.

Im out working right now but will post back later. My fluid level is good, will get back to you guys with the exact color. About 15k miles on a complete flush.

Last night I did jack up the rear, and they spin freely. I checked after stepping the pedal down. Fronts are also fine. I actually don't have an E brake cable right now...

BTW: yes, Reattas do have the Teves electro-hydraulic ABS, but the parking brake is cable operated as you'd normally expect.

I'll go out for a spin around the block and check the fluid color on a white rag or napkin.

Maybe the M62 AND all thw towing I've done have taken their toll on the poor 4T60
