Ok, so basicly if I try the paper clip and it does nothing, then I have to eat the 50 bucks to figure out WTF is going on right? :?

UPDATE:

I just went and did the paper clip test and it flashed 2 times and then 6 times so I am assuming that means 26. 26 - Quad-Driver Fault

So now what? I have no clue what that is?

After further reading I noticed that this condition can be caused by the AC compressor, mine doesn't work all the pully does is spin, in a previous post I talked about this. I am sure this is the problem becasue my TPS is adjusted perfect, my torque converter locks up perfectly with my fresh fluid and trans cooler. So I think that narrows it down, any ideas????

Only the low speed is considered critical?

Quad B covers the shift solonoids and EGR valve.
It has nothing to do with your AC. Check the evap canister purge solonoid/connection, low speed fan, High temp conditions, and see if your TCC locks up at 48mph smoothly.

Ok Bill,

My TCC locks flawlessly, what is needed to check the EVAP canister and the temp? Also how do I check the fans, they have not come on since my 180 stat was installed last week. But I do remember them working before that. Could the coolant flush have damaged a temp sensor?

*** BUMP ***

Last night after driving home I left the car running and put my hand on the evap canister, there was no clicking what so ever, so i would assume that even if this isn't the problem, the solenoid needs to be replaced, correct?

Nope..first thing you need is a manual to better understand when the evap is supposed to run aka purge.

I forget when..but it might be all the time. Check the power going to it.

Check the resistance across the two pins on the evap solonoid. Not the wiring harness, the actual solonoid.

Someone with an FSM will check when the evap should purge (I recall it'* soon after startup, but my manuals are at home right now).

After you post the resistance of your solonoid, I'll go out to the parky-lot and measure mine for comparison. We'll rule things out one at a time.

I'll measure first. Rain should stop by noon or so.
