Thanks for the the help. I still have the problem I looked over the wiring the best i could I didn't see any problems. I have been driving the car for about a week now and I have a few more symptoms. When the check engine light comes on there is a noticeable power loss. The first drive in the morning is usually fine but any trip after that the light comes on as soon as the car is put in drive and it stays lit for about a minute or so then gos out and the car is fine again. Are the computers a common part to fail on these cars? I can get a reman for $70.00. thanks

The ECU/ECM can go bad, I'm not sure your symptoms are typical of the dying ECU though. Wouldn't want you to shotgun parts and run up costs before we go a little further with more diagnosing.

There are two in the upper intake manifold near the throttle body. Disconnect them both and compare their resistance to ground. They should be very close to each other.

Thanks for letting us know what was wrong. If you would please edit your title to add "(fixed)", that will help the next guy searching a similar problem.
