Interior Lights Won't Shut off...help!
Hey guys, about 20 minutes ago I opened my door to my car and now my interior lights will not shut off. I have 98 Bonneville SE. I pulled the fuse on 8B for interior lights and even 9B for center lights and they still would not shut off. I check all my doors, hood, and even my trunk and the lights continue to stay on. For the meantime, I have my battery disconnected help me please, because i cant just keep putting my battery on and off!!! Needs a solution......GO

I did that, I twisted so far left I think ill break it if I go any farther. But its so weird, I pulled the fuses and closed all the doors and the lights still didnt shut off. Think a Door Sensor is jammed?

If you pulled the fuse it should have turned off. Unless someone rewired something or there is some odd short. You may have to get the multi tester out and start checking things.

trace the wiring from the fuse to where ever it goes, wires might of melted together or something, or might of short circuited like danthurs mentioned.

Crap, its so weird. At the most random time ever seriously lol, I guess ill have to do that. And what are my plans if I find the wires melted together or shorted? I know stupid question, but I just want to hear my options and how they are done.

well trace where the wires terminal points are from both ends , and replace the wire(*) (1 by 1 , trust me) by using the existing male/female connectors, or if they're bad buy a wiring kit for couple bucks. Then just replace the fuse if they're blown.
most likely you wont be able to snip and re-solder the wires together as they're already damaged internally

It'* so weird I pulled the fuses and they wont shut off. That just amazed me, and the car was owned by my grandmother lol, so no one could of rewired it. But really can a wire like that short circuit all of sudden, I did nothing different but clean my windows and seats today..

I cleaned my windows with that invisible glass stuff and a towel. You think a little dripped down and short circuited something? Because it was fine right after I did it.
