installing throttle position sensor-99 SSE
Chilton says make sure the TP sensor pickup lever is located above the tang on the throttle actuator lever. No model year is indicated. The little lever that sticks out from the new TP sensor actually goes under the TB lever so that, when you give it gas, the TB butterfly valve cam, which moves clockwise will move the TP sensor lever clockwise. IS THIS CORRECT? THE TB LEVER MOVES THE SENSOR LEVER, RIGHT? INSTALLING THE SENSOR LEVER ABOVE THE TB LEVER ASSUMES THAT THE SENSOR SOMEHOW ROTATES CLOCKWISE ELECTRONICALLY A FULL 180 DEGREES BEFORE IT THEN ENGAGES THE TB LEVER, WHICH DOESN'T MAKE SENSSE. AM I RIGHT IN MY THINKING ON THIS. :?:

With the TPS off open up the throttle a bit to see what way the TB lever turns and line it up so that it turn the TPS the way that it should go. Does this help??? I put one in on my 1995 L36 and just played with it for a bit looking at how everything turned before I installed it.
