I can't see that pic very well, but it looks like a piston may have impacted it? Anyone else care to venture a guess???

Check that out, search for 1994 bonneville w/supercharger, and tell me if those are reasonable prices, $1,300 for a 94 with 1k miles? that sounds good to me

Slow down a bit. I didn't say that was what was wrong. I said that was one possibility. You need to accurately diagnose your problem before you start spending hundereds or thousands on something you may not need.

Having run the car for a while, the only way a piston would have impacted it is if it threw a rod. That just may be the case. Usually breaks around the bearing, then slams the piston upward, thus releasing oil...

In any case, the best thing to do is to have a mechanic lay an eye on it. Either way, it sounds as if you're going to be a while...

Damage like that to a plug is usually a broken wristpin or something along those lines.

Ok, im gonna take it up to the shop tomorrow, if they tell me the engine is salvagable and needs a rebuild, whats a decent price for that? Oh and before my incident i was having acceleration problems, for the first 20 miles or so it would be normal but after it heated up or somethig it just wasnt the same, also a loud ticking noise coming from the engine, could that have been part of the problem? Any ideas on that one?

Offhand, I'd say stuck lifter. Valve stayed in the extended or perhaps broken position. Impacted piston, destroyed plug.

Just a guess. I can't troubleshoot this through the internet. A professional look is absolutely the next step.

Do a compression test. That should tell you if a valve is messed up or if a rod is blown or if the piston has hole in it. Does the car fire at all? It should be able to run on 5 cylinders unless the valve hit the the piston and sheared the pin off the cam so the cam doesn't turn, i've had that happen on a quad. You could check to see if the piston is moving by putting something into the cylinder and seeing how far it goes in, then turn it over and check how far it goes in, then do it again for good measure. If the rod busted and launched the piston into the valves it won't move. Also, was the blown plug ont he front or back, try taking the valve cover off and checking out the rockers/pushrods and heads to see if everything looks right. I've seen on a 3.1 where the intake port where teh stud for the rocker is, busted off so the pushrod just moved teh rocker around and didn't push the on the valve. Also have someone turn it over when the valve covers are off and see if everything moves ok. Possibly take the SC/Lower intake off and check the lifters. If nothing is wrong there, pull the heads/oil pan off and see what you can find.

Also, if the pistons are hitting the valves, the timing chain could have jumped or busted, but a compression test and taking off the valve cover should be able to tell you that.
