How much to install water pump? TOWING ACCIDENT!!!
I need to replace my water pump since the pulley on the current one is wobbly and already tore my drive belt. I already have the new pump and was originally going to install it myself but I dont have the time to do this job so I was going to have it towed to a shop nearby. Does anybody know what the cost of this might be? Im thinking somewhere between $100-$200 with the towing. I guess it depends on their hourly rate and how long it would take. Im assuming a couple of hours.

With the tow fee and everything.....It'* not really that hard of a job, just a bit of R & R

The motor mount needs to be removed to get access to the water pump on a L27.
It'll probably be over $200, but depends on how far you had it towed and what their tow rate is, etc.

The Pep Boys Im thinking of taking it to where I had my radiator replaced is less than a mile away so towing shouldnt cost too much. Im aware of the motor mount that has to be removed to gain access to the pump.

Having it towed in tomorrow so hopefully I'll have my car running good as new again tomorrow night or the next day. Just in time for me to get my new exhaust put on too.

My 90 I could do in 45 mi.
The 96, now thats another story.
So much for progress.
Maybe the dealer labor hrs were too low when they designed this one.
