In my old age.. I don' t think I'll be hittin it anytime soon.. but I say that everytime

Was going out to my grandmas last sunday and they live out on a farm in sw minnesota. Hit 120 or so on the speedo before I hit the brakes cause a decent sized hill was comming up. Only been over 100 mph twice and on the same road cause its almost always empty and its pretty flat for a couple 3 miles from the interstate. The one thing I was impressed about is that the car is smooth as glass going that fast. I remember my 73 dodge dart at 115 the steering wheel bounced like 1-2 inches up and down . I never did that again. That 318 v8 in that car was fun for me in high school. With the 195/75 14" on the car it would lite them up real nice.

The biggest handling factor at high speeds in these cars is the tires. With my old tires, the beast started getting squirrely at about 125. I theorize that the tires were expanding, raising the front of the car, which caused some aerodynamic 'lift' of the front end. This is a VEWY BAD THING.
The new tires don't do this at all, it'* just the slightly over-sensitive steering at the 125+ speeds that make you pucker your south end a bit. I don't have a reason to ever go that fast again, unless it'* at Talledega or Daytona.
