Hood Won't Open
Hi, I have a 1995 SE and we swapped the motor which went fine. However when we put the hod back on it lined up great but now it will not open. I pull the hood release and nothing happens. Not sure if the cable broke or came disconnected. Any ideas on how to release the hood. My guess is that it needs to be done from the bottom. I'm stuck on finishing the car until I can get the hood open again.

Well if the little paddle thing got disconnected/broke from the metal hook then just put your hand through the top grill opening and you should be able to feel it. Well I guess that depends on what grill you have so this applies to the grill with the four openings. If you have one of them closed grills then I dont think you can get it from the bottom but maybe.

hood not opening
Try having someone pull & hold the release handle. Then with the palm of your open hand smack the hood over the lock area.
Also, if that does't work try it again but put a little pressure pushing hood to each side with your other hand.
My hood wasn,t opening because the safety latch was getting hung up. The middle of the latch had rubbed the center bar and had wore a grove in it which would cause the hood to be stuck closed. If that is the problem after opening the hood move it over as far as it goes which isn't much but still helps - might need to grind a little away if you can't move it over enough.
Good Luck
