Hesitates going up small hills?
When I am driving up small hills and have to give it some gas to get up it it seems to hesitate a little?? I was told it was the fuel filter so I had it changed but it still does it sometimes. Any advice? Its a 98 SSEi with 90,000 miles on it if that makes a difference??

when was the last time you had a tune up? My first guess with your mileage is never. Start with new plugs and wires. this symptom is most associated with ignition in situations that require more power.

If it'* more obvious in overdrive when your rpm'* are low, it'* almost always plugs/wires. Rarely fueling. If it was your fuel filter, it wouldn't keep up at wide open throttle.

Thanks so much guys! I bet thats what it is. Before the divorce my husband did all that himself and I never knew about any of it and am just now getting to know all the maintenance stuff that needs to be done.
