help, running i/m test on scanner sensors not ready
I have a 96 bonny with 125000 miles non supercharged.
some back ground, car failed emissions, and sat. I picked it up knowing this and found out almost every gasket was leaking there was over 2 gallons of oil in it, a lot of vacuum leaks.
recent work replaced upper and lower manifold gaskets, oil pan and trans pan gaskets, front seal, valve cover gaskets, lower and upper o2 sensor, pcv valve, temp senser, spark plugs,. and fixed the vacuum leaks.
The problem is there are no code at all. and when I run a i/m monitor for the scanner it'* telling me that both o2 sensors, the egr, evaporating system and cat are not ready. with replacing the o2 sensors the downstream o2 and egr are ready. but the cat, evaporating system and upstream are not ready. I tried driving the car for awhile and no change.
anything I'm missing or should check or test.
oh is there a o ring or spring that goes around or on the pcv valve or just the o-ring on the cap that mounts on it.

What'* an i/m test?
What scanner are you using?
The PCV has TWO o-rings. Not one. And no spring.

the scanner I'm using is a mac tools global obd II code scanner 9040a.
I/m monitors stands for inspection and maintenance.
the test displays the state of the vehicle'* obd II monitors.
it monitors the state of the vehicles emission systems and components.
I have the o-ring that attaches to the cap is there a smaller one that goes on the pcv valve itself also, and missing that o-ring can it cause a little crankcase vacuum?
