Default Help !!

We just bought out 95 SSEI last week from a dealer and everything was fine until today when the lil bugger is dead. The wife drove it this morning and when she went to leave again nothing..not even a click. Could this have something to do with the security feature or a dead battery?

What is the security light on the dash doing during this time? Do the lights work? If they do, what do they do when you try to start the car with them on? Do they go out, or remain lit? Do you have a meter to measure the battery voltage?

How do the battery cables look? Inspect them carefully and clean the ends very well and reconnect. Try starting it again.

Thanks for the quick responses, you guys are fast. Well I got home and put her on the charger because the battery was indeed dead. I dont know if little fingers turned a light on or what. The terminals did need a turn or two so I hoping thats what it was because the battery appears to be brand new or the alternator just took a powder on us. Thats stuff I know, the security features are completely new to me so I wanted to eliminate that possibility first. Thanks guys, Mike

yes, but, as new as they look on the outside and on the connecting terminals, you have to remove the boots completely to see the real corrosion, and then just re assemble with dielectric grease and you're good to go.

Bonne is running fine now. The terminals were loose, I had to put in a full turn on each one. I love driving that car.

Good to hear it was that easy. We find many cases of loose battery cable/corrosion/other connection related issues.

Now..how about stopping over in Your Ride with some pics of the 95 with only 84K on it.
