Thanks for that info, may I was to tired from working on my car that I couldn't think straight. I do want to say I am finally done with my car and so proud of myself, so I give thanks to all who gave me some helpful hints to go about repairing my heater core.

Well got the heater core in the other day and my heater was working fine till the next day it stopped working, no blower no heat, I checked the fuses, I just don't know why it stopped it was working it felt good to have heat when I have been sitting in a cold car working on it for awhile. where would I find the blower motor?

well I replaced the resistor STILL NO HEAT!!!! I noticed the rod did not move above the heater core when I moved the dial for heat.so is this the culprit? I am so tired of worrying what'* next .

is the blower working or not? if not you need to measure if for voltage, if no power you need to trace it back till you see why its not getting power. just replacing things without trouble shooting just wastes time and money

Thank you. I will take the dash off again and check all wiring since I didn't put it all together, is the rod suppose to move when I turn the heat on or is the blower suppose to do that ? I hope its just a miss wiring,,,

im guessing the rod with the temp or position change, some cars though have vacuum lines and actuators for position change. mine has the auto setup, so not real familiar with the rods.

okay guys I put in a lot of time on my 98 Bonneville, these two weeks... first the heater was working before and after I changed the core now my heat is not working I changed the resistor ,the blower switch , and then blower motor and still no heat I hear the vent below shift when I change the setting like air escaping and I checked all wiring and still nothing.. what is not going on here? I just wish I had the answer im so tired and on top of that I have back problems I cant be doing this. sure I could of taken it to a shop I don't have that kind of money and I don't trust them. they ripped me off at one time... someone please help me.. thanks.
